Endangered tree boa found within FCAT reserve

Blomber’s Tree Boa (Corallus blombergi), an IUCN Endangered species, was recently found within the FCAT reserve! Commonly known as the Ecuadorian annulated tree boa, this species is found only in western Ecuador and southern Columbia and very little is known about its natural history. The FCAT reserve protects numerous endangered species, including the Ecuadorian White-fronted Capuchin, and the Banded Ground-cuckoo. Protecting and learning more about endangered species is a core mission of FCAT.
